Pico/MD2 CNC
Mortising & Tenoning Machine
Solid joints and
a perfect finish
Pico/MD2 is able to machine very specific kinds of joints that are
particularly suited for the assembly of door frames, wortops, front
frames of furniture pieces with drawers, ect., both at 45 & 90
degree angles or French dap.
Instead of using the traditional method, which consists in drilling
the holes and inserting the pins, this system employs rounded tenons
and slots that are far quicker to machine as compared to holes and
pins. This approach offers significant savings, along with more
robust and accurate joints that are free from splints.
Mass
Production
The workcycle is very fast; with an output of one finished piece
every 12-15 seconds, it is possible to machine 60 - 70 doors per
hour.
Single pieces
This machine requires a minimum number of adjustments and uses
numerically controlled programs, which means that moving from one
job to the next takes as little as 30 seconds! |
